Each player needs a deck (minimum 50 cards), a leader card, and a base card.
Place your base face up in front of you. Place your leader face up next to your base.
Shuffle your deck and draw 6 cards. You may mulligan — set aside any number of cards, draw that many replacements, then shuffle the set-aside cards back into your deck.
Each player places 2 cards from the top of their deck face down as starting resources.
Determine the first player randomly. That player takes the initiative counter.
Winning & Losing
Win: Destroy your opponent's base by reducing its HP to 0. That's it — a single, clear objective.
Note: Leaders and units can be defeated, but only the base matters for victory. Keep an eye on both bases — games can swing fast.
Round Overview
1. Action Phase— Players alternate taking one action at a time, starting with the initiative player. Actions: play a card (paying its cost with resources), attack with a unit, use an action ability, or take the initiative (claim the initiative counter and pass for the rest of the phase). The phase ends when both players have passed.
2. Regroup Phase— Draw 2 cards. Ready all exhausted cards. Each player places 1 card from the top of their deck face down into their resource zone. The player with the initiative counter goes first next round.
